Requirements for all positions
All positions have several requirements that you must meet in order to qualify for any job at ServerPoint. These are:
- Must be 18 years or older
- For remote positions, your computer must not be used by anyone else and you will be working exclusively for ServerPoint.com
- High speed broadband access is required
- You must have a webcam as you will be participating in daily conferences
- Excellent written communication skills in English is a must
- Ability to compose original writing, as you will be involved in documentation projects, doing presentations and writing articles
- Fast keyboard typer
- Ability to work extended hours
- Ability to easily retain information, as the amount of information to learn is quite extensive
- Patience (a must) and willingness to help customers is mandatory
Microsoft OS/Applications Technical Support Level 2
Requests for Microsoft related technologies have been on the rise over the last years and thus we seek talent knowledgeable in Microsoft's line of
applications and operating systems.
Requirements:
- You must be certified by Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE or higher)
- At least one year of full time experience providing support for Microsoft's applications and operating systems
- Experience with (all or some) Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, Hyper-V and of course, Windows 2003/2008
- This is a remote position
Roles:
- You will be providing support to our Windows based dedicated server, shared hosting and VPS customers, both on Windows 2003 and 2008
- Writing articles for our blog, articles for our knowledge base, writing internal documention and creating video screencasts to help clients and to help train other personnel
Linux Technical Support Level 2
Requirements:
- You must be certified by either RedHat, CompTIA or LPI
- If not certifications, a different salary arrangement will be done until skills are proven
- Knowledge and expertise with Linux' command line and with manual configuration of services such as bind and Apache
- At least one year of full time experience providing Linux support
- Experience with popular Linux distributions (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora)
- A high level of experience with Plesk and cPanel/WHM
- Basic Experience with Parallel's Containers (Virtuozzo)
- This is a remote position
