Microsoft Certified Dedicated/VPS Server Support Level 3

A large part of our customer base is Windows base. Such customers require support when things go wrong, or when they need their servers configured to their needs.

Expertise requirements:
  • This is a remote position
  • Specify which certifications you posess, and certification IDs
  • 2 years minimum experience managing Windows servers on a daily or semi daily basis
  • Experience with Server 2008 and HyperV
  • High level of experience with MS SQL, SharePoint, IIS and Dynamics CRM, as one of your projects will be to manage our Windows based hosting offerings
  • Must have experience with Plesk and cPanel in the Windows platform, experience with dotnetpanel optional
  • You will also be working regular support issues (email, web hosting accounts, reboots, etc.)
  • You will also perform sales oriented communications via online means
  • Excellent written communication skills in English is a must
  • Fast keyboard typer
  • Ability to work extended hours
  • Must have *excellent* problem solving skills
  • Ability to easily retain information, as the amount of information to learn is quite extensive
  • Excellent "people person" skills

Dedicated/Virtual Server Support Level 3

This position requires a high level of knowledge in Linux and control panel software. We are proud of the technical support we provide and being able to solve just about all problems our customers have. Thus, anyone on this position must be able to resolve just about any problem in Linux and control panels such as Plesk and cPanel.

Technical Support Level 2+ and Technical Writer

We are looking for someone that will help us write documentation for our technical support department. You will also be in charge of publishing in our blog and monitoring our forums.

Besides providing technical support to clients, you will be in charge of an internal Wiki where you will document solutions to problems. You will be helping customers, and at the same time, you will evaluate all support tickets being handled during the day and create documentation based on the problems found. You will also be in charge of filling up our knowledge base so that our clients can search for solutions without having to contact technical support.

Your job is to make it easier for clients to find information, and, for our technical support staff to find solutions.

You will also be in charge of writing articles for our web site (for example, an article comparing forum scripts). This means you must have basic HTML skills (pure HTML, not using some "web editor").

This job requires that you be highly experienced with the hosting industry and your written English skills must be flawless.

PHP or Perl/MySQL programmer
Your project will be working on programming and designing the various web interfaces that our customers, and members of our staff, routinely use to perform their jobs. The largest project of these is our client control panel.

This is a very important job and you must be thoroughly detailed and have the patience to constantly do hours of testing. If you tend to skim and then just hope to clean up bugs as they appear, then you are not the programmer we are looking for. You MUST have a discipline to do thorough testing.

Requirements:
  • This is a remote position
  • 2+ years programming with PHP and MySQL
  • Thorough knowledge of MySQL's structured query language (and we DO MEAN THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE)
  • Experience with jQuery optional but preferable
  • Knowledge and experience on pure HTML & CSS (no editors here!)
  • Creativity in user interface design
  • Experience with industry standard hosting control panels

Requirements:
  • This is a remote position
  • Multiple day and night shifts available; early morning to afternoon (Pacific time zone) preferable
  • Good computer skills on Windows and UNIX/Linux (command line) type systems (basic knowledge)
  • Knowledge of Internet related software (email, FTP, etc) a must!
  • Understanding of the concepts that make the Internet work (DNS, backbones, TCP/IP, protocols, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge and experience on evaluating problems by using traceroutes, DNS lookups, host lookups, WHOIS, etc., as the majority of problems are related to "connection" problems.
