Default CPanel on Shared Web Hosting

I'm surprised that Apluspanel is still around, when CPanel is available for dedicated servers. Most hosting companies seem to have CPanel for all their users... Does ServerPoint plan to replace Apluspanel with something more functional?

well apluspanel is the control panel for shared hosting customers.
For dedicated server and vps customers, apluspanel.com is only to handle billing issues and to power cycle servers remotely.

There is a reason that why we use our apluspanel and do not use cpanel because cpanel is not designed for a distributed system like ours. For example, as you may have noticed, we run mysql and email functions on servers separate from the server that hosts your web site, for performance and uptime reasons.

One of the reasons why companies that use cpanel have so many problems is because, for example, if an account gets mail bombed, it brings down all web sites on that server (because email and web sites run in the same server). If a mysql database goes crazy, it also brings down the entire machine.

We don't have those issues because we run things separately. For that, we have our own custom panel. You have probably seen our email panel, and that is what we are now transitioning to. Anything that you need done and is not int he panel, let us know. We can assure you that your uptime and performance experience will be better with us.

Thank you

There is a lot of sense in what you said. I agree with you.
