Enterprise-grade storage for dedicated servers

By ServerPoint's Team January 15, 2026

Storage you can trust

When you rent a dedicated server, the storage is entirely yours. No shared disks, no noisy neighbors, just raw performance from drives selected specifically for data center workloads.

We don’t use consumer-grade drives or cut costs on storage hardware. Every drive in our dedicated servers is enterprise or data center grade, designed for 24/7 operation under heavy loads.

Samsung enterprise and data center SSDs

For SSD storage, we exclusively use Samsung enterprise and data center class drives. These aren’t the SSDs you’d find in a laptop or desktop PC. Samsung’s enterprise drives are built for:

  • Continuous 24/7 operation without performance degradation
  • High endurance measured in drive writes per day (DWPD)
  • Power loss protection to prevent data corruption during unexpected shutdowns
  • Consistent latency even under heavy mixed workloads

Samsung has consistently led the enterprise SSD market, and their drives power mission-critical workloads at companies worldwide. That’s the same quality behind your dedicated server.

Seagate Exos for high-capacity storage

Sometimes you need raw capacity more than raw speed. For customers requiring large storage volumes, we use Seagate Exos hard drives.

Exos is Seagate’s enterprise hard drive line, designed specifically for data center environments:

  • High capacity options for storing large datasets, backups, or archives
  • Enterprise reliability with vibration tolerance and workload ratings
  • Designed for always-on operation in rack-mounted servers

When your application needs terabytes of storage space (media files, backups, databases, archives) Exos drives deliver the capacity without sacrificing enterprise reliability.

LSI MegaRAID for RAID and scalability

Storage is only as reliable as the controller managing it. We use LSI MegaRAID cards in our dedicated servers for RAID capabilities and drive management.

LSI MegaRAID controllers are the industry standard for enterprise storage, offering:

  • Support for up to 48 drives per server for massive storage arrays
  • Hardware RAID including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and more
  • Battery-backed cache protecting data during power events
  • Hot spare support for automatic drive failover

Whether you need a simple two-drive mirror or a 48-drive storage array, LSI MegaRAID controllers provide the reliability and flexibility to configure storage exactly how you need it.

The right storage for the job

Different workloads need different storage configurations:

WorkloadRecommended storage
Databases, high-performance applicationsSamsung enterprise SSDs
Large file storage, backups, archivesSeagate Exos hard drives
Mission-critical with redundancyMultiple drives with RAID via LSI MegaRAID
Maximum capacityUp to 48 drives per server

Our team can help you configure the right storage setup for your specific requirements. Whether you need blazing-fast NVMe SSDs or massive Exos storage arrays with RAID redundancy, we have the hardware and expertise to deliver.

Built for reliability

Every storage component in our dedicated servers is selected for one purpose: keeping your data safe and accessible. Samsung enterprise SSDs, Seagate Exos hard drives, and LSI MegaRAID controllers represent the same hardware trusted by enterprises worldwide.

That’s the infrastructure behind every ServerPoint dedicated server.
