About this policy: This California Privacy Rights Notice is provided by A+ Hosting Inc., a Nevada corporation, and applies to all services purchased through any of our three brand websites: APlusHosting.com, ServerPoint.com, and ColossusCloud.com. The terms below apply identically regardless of which brand website you signed up through. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this document mean A+ Hosting Inc.
1. Privacy Statement for California Residents
This Privacy Notice for California Residents supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy and applies solely to California residents. It is designed to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA).
2. We are committed to privacy
A+ Hosting Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information we handle. This Notice describes our practices when we act as a "business" under the CCPA/CPRA with respect to personal information we collect from our own customers and website visitors. When we process personal information on behalf of our customers (for example, when customers host their own end users' data on our infrastructure), the customer acts as the "business" and this Notice does not apply to that data.
3. CCPA Overview
The CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, provides California residents with specific rights regarding their personal information, including the right to know what is collected, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
4. Information we collect
In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have collected categories of personal information that may include identifiers (such as name, email address, postal address, and IP address), commercial information related to your transactions with us, internet or network activity related to your use of our website, approximate geolocation derived from IP address, and account credentials and payment information.
We obtain personal information directly from you when you create an account, place an order, or contact support; automatically when you use our website; and from third parties that interact with us in connection with the services we provide.
5. Use of personal information
We may use the personal information we collect to fulfil the purpose for which it was provided, to operate and improve our services, to communicate with you about our services, to comply with our legal obligations, to detect and prevent fraud and security incidents, and to protect the rights and safety of our customers and others.
6. Sharing personal information
We may disclose your personal information to service providers and business partners who help us operate our services, to legal and regulatory authorities where required by law, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months. Where we share personal information for advertising-related purposes, we provide opt-out rights as required by applicable law.
7. Your rights and choices
As a California resident, you have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. To exercise these rights, please submit a request through your Client Portal or our Contact Us page. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding.
8. Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA/CPRA.
