SSL Certificates Service Agreement

About this policy: This SSL Certificates Service Agreement is provided by A+ Hosting Inc., a Nevada corporation, and applies to all services purchased through any of our three brand websites: APlusHosting.com, ServerPoint.com, and ColossusCloud.com. The terms below apply identically regardless of which brand website you signed up through. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this document mean A+ Hosting Inc.

This SSL Certificates Service Agreement ("SSL Agreement") sets forth the terms and conditions of your use of SSL/TLS certificates ("Certificates") and related services ("SSL Services") provided through or together with our hosting services. This SSL Agreement supplements and is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.

Note. Certificates are issued by a third-party Certificate Authority ("CA"). When you use SSL Services, you are also subject to the terms, policies, and practices of the issuing CA, including its certificate policy, certification practice statement, subscriber agreement, and privacy practices. Those terms apply in addition to this SSL Agreement.

1. Description of Services

Free SSL (shared hosting). For websites hosted on our shared hosting service, we facilitate the issuance and installation of a free domain-validated ("DV") Certificate issued by an open-source Certificate Authority. These Certificates have a short validity period (typically around three months) and are renewed automatically while your shared hosting service remains active and properly configured. Free DV Certificates provide validation of control over the listed domain and enable encrypted connections; they do not provide organization-level or extended validation.

Paid SSL. Paid Certificates, including organization-validated ("OV"), extended-validation ("EV"), wildcard, and multi-domain Certificates, are available for separate purchase. Paid Certificates are not automatically renewed. To renew a paid Certificate, you must contact us before the Certificate expires and pay the applicable renewal fee. We are not obligated to issue, install, manage, or renew any paid Certificate that has not been ordered and paid for by you.

2. Use restrictions

You are prohibited from using any Certificate (i) for or on behalf of any organization other than the one identified in the Certificate; (ii) to perform private or public key operations in connection with any domain other than the one for which the Certificate was issued; (iii) on more than one server or device at a time, unless expressly permitted by the issuing CA; and (iv) as control equipment in hazardous environments or for uses requiring fail-safe performance, including the operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation or communication systems, air traffic control systems, life-support systems, or weapons control systems, where failure could lead directly to death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage.

3. Fees

Where SSL Services are included with your hosting plan, no separate fee is charged. Where you purchase a Certificate that is not part of the included automated service, fees are non-refundable in whole or in part, except as expressly provided in our Terms of Service.

4. Expiration and renewal

Free SSL. Free DV Certificates are renewed automatically while your shared hosting service remains active and the domain remains correctly pointed to our servers. Automatic renewal depends on factors outside our control, including the availability of the issuing CA, correct DNS configuration, and the absence of CA-imposed rate limits or validation failures. We are not liable if a free Certificate fails to renew for any reason.

Paid SSL. Paid Certificates are not automatically renewed. As a courtesy, we will send an email reminder to the address on file before a paid Certificate is due to expire. You are solely responsible for monitoring your Certificate's expiration, contacting us in time, and paying the applicable renewal fee. We are not liable for any expiration, downtime, browser warning, or service interruption caused by your failure to renew a paid Certificate on time.

5. Revocation

We or the issuing CA may revoke your Certificate at any time, without notice, if (i) information within the Certificate is no longer valid; (ii) you fail to perform your obligations under this SSL Agreement, our Terms of Service, our Acceptable Use Policy, or the terms of the issuing CA; (iii) the underlying hosting service is suspended or terminated; or (iv) in our sole discretion, the Certificate or its use is determined to be harmful or otherwise inconsistent with applicable policy.

6. No warranty for third-party Certificate Authorities

Certificates are issued by third-party Certificate Authorities. We do not control, and make no representation or warranty regarding, the operation, availability, security, validation procedures, rate limits, or revocation practices of any CA. We are not liable for any loss, damage, downtime, or claim arising from a CA's actions, omissions, outages, validation failures, revocations, or changes in policy.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend, release, indemnify, and hold harmless A+ Hosting Inc., the issuing CA, and their respective parents, affiliates, agents, employees, officers, directors, and shareholders from all liabilities, claims, and expenses, including attorneys' fees and court costs, arising from third-party claims relating to your use of any Certificate or SSL Service, including any infringement of intellectual property or other proprietary rights, or any violation of this SSL Agreement, our other policies, or applicable law. This indemnity is in addition to, and not in limitation of, the indemnity set out in our Terms of Service.

8. Relationship to Terms of Service

This SSL Agreement is governed by, and forms part of, our Terms of Service and is subject to the limitations of liability and disclaimers set out there. In the event of a conflict between this SSL Agreement and the Terms of Service with respect to SSL Services, this SSL Agreement controls.

9. Modifications

A+ Hosting Inc. reserves the right to modify this SSL Agreement at any time in its sole and absolute discretion. Modifications take effect immediately upon posting to this website.
